State Rep (R) Jeff Hoverson pushes back on Big Government
Friday Dec 12, 2025
Friday Dec 12, 2025
On this episode of Open Range with Gary Emineth, State Representative Jeff Hoverson from District 3 joins the show to discuss his conservative mission in North Dakota. Hoverson has already served two terms in the State House, and he announced live on the program that he plans to run for a third term in November 2026. A pastor and a strong conservative voice, Hoverson believes government in North Dakota has expanded too much, too fast, and at levels that are not sustainable for taxpayers.
Hoverson warns that North Dakota’s spending has exploded, noting that the state spends roughly $100,000 for every family of four, while the average family income in the state is around $60,000. He says this imbalance shows why spending cuts and stronger financial discipline are necessary before North Dakota becomes dependent on unsustainable revenue streams.
He argues that America — including North Dakota — is slowly drifting toward socialism by encouraging citizens to rely more on the government than on strong communities, faith, and personal responsibility. Hoverson says voters must elect fighters who will stand firmly for conservative values and defend the official GOP platform at the legislature. According to him, North Dakota needs lawmakers who will stop runaway spending, protect freedom, and challenge government overreach before it undermines the state’s future.

LUKE ARMSTRONG’S MISSION IN GUATEMALA
Wednesday Dec 10, 2025
Wednesday Dec 10, 2025
This episode of Open Range with Gary Emineth features Luke Armstrong, son of Patty Armstrong, host of Ladies of Another View. Luke has spent 18 years living and serving in Guatemala. He first worked with God’s Child for four years before joining the Integral Heart Foundation, a powerful nonprofit focused on breaking cycles of poverty through education, nutrition, and community support.
Integral Heart Foundation runs a school that serves 65 children every day, offering strong academic programs in Spanish, English, Human Rights, Art, and Homework Help. The school also serves more than 1,500 meals every month, making education possible for families who struggle with food insecurity. Since 2011, Integral Heart Foundation has helped over 3,200 students and their families, bringing educational support, counseling, and daily care to some of the poorest communities in Guatemala. The organization has also provided more than 5,000 food baskets to sponsored families who depend on consistent nutritional help.
Luke explains that education is the most powerful tool for transforming lives, restoring dignity, and giving children the chance to rise out of poverty. The school focuses on developing whole families, not just students. Their compassion also extends to the streets of Guatemala. With the help of staff and students, the foundation has helped find homes for more than 100 stray dogs, while also hosting spay and neuter clinics each year to protect vulnerable animals.
Luke’s story proves that faith-based service, hands-on education, and real community action can change lives. His mission is a reminder that love, stability, and opportunity can reshape an entire generation. Viewers are encouraged to learn more and support the foundation at IntegralHeartFoundation.org.
